Unique Experience

Try skiing in the city! Even better check it out in summer! Szczesliwice is an all-year-round skiing slope in the centre of Warsaw. Skiing, snowboarding and summer tubing are all available here. Did we mention the Alpine Coaster and chairlift rides? And if you just want to relax, there’s a viewing terrace and a restaurant. To take a nice walk after having fun on the slope, head for the Szczesliwicki Park located in the near vicinity.

Major Sights

The Royal Castle (Zamek Krolewski)
Although the Royal Castle in Warsaw has a really beautiful exterior, it’s the interior that’s particularly impressive. From furniture and fittings to paintings and ceiling ornaments, each and every royal chamber here is a stunning work of art. If you have time, visit the apartment of Prince Jozef Poniatowski which is a truly royal suite.

Krakowskie Przedmiescie & Nowy Swiat
With a plethora of grand buildings, fancy restaurants and interesting events, Krakowskie Przedmiescie is by far one of the most important streets in Warsaw. If you walk it down to the very end (the starting point for the walk is in the Old Town), you’ll get to Nowy Swiat which is another famous street full of great shops, bistros and clubs.

The Copernicus Science Centre (Centrum Nauki Kopernik)
The Copernicus Science Centre is a must-see attraction in Warsaw. It’s targeted specifically at kids and young teenagers but most adults love it too. The Centre is highly interactive, which helps you understand science and have fun at the same time.

The Library of Warsaw University (Biblioteka Uniwersytecka)
The Library of Warsaw University isn’t probably of any interest to most tourists but its roof garden is well worth a visit. It’s a lovely place to have a nice walk, enjoy city views and simply relax.

Getting Romantic

Lazienki Krolewskie
Lazienki is a lovely park. It boasts beautiful gardens, amazing architecture and… friendly squirrels. If you’re into art, visit the museums located here: Palac na Wyspie and Stara Pomaranczarnia.

Old Town (Stare Miasto)
Although it was completely destroyed during WW2, the historic centre of Warsaw is now on the UNESCO World Heritage List. It was reconstructed and has some of the most beautiful buildings in Poland. It’s a great spot to take a romantic walk, have coffee or buy some souvenirs.

Park Wilanowski
This park adjoins the Wilanow Palace which is an impressive baroque building once owned by King Jan III Sobieski. The place is perfect for taking a leisurely walk and immersing yourself in the Polish art and history. Don’t miss out on visiting the spendid interior of the palace.

The Palace of Culture and Science (Palac Kultury i Nauki)
Although the building itself is hardly romantic, it has a viewing terrace that’s certainly worth a visit. Situated on the 30th floor of the Palace, the observation deck offers unbeatable views of the city. Buy an evening ticket if you’d like to see Warsaw by night.

Local Flavours

Being a capital city, Warsaw offers a spendid array of restaurants and bars. If you’d like to taste modern Polish cuisine, book a table in one of the top chef restaurants. If you love street food, buy a burger from a trendy food truck. If you want to have some traditional Polish dishes, visit a bar serving soups and pierogi.
