3 best areas to stay in Krakow, Poland
Since we love walking and exploring new places in cities on foot, we always choose apartments in central locations. In Krakow we recommend staying in the Old Town, Kazimierz or Grzegorzki. Grzegorzki adjoins the Old Town but it’s also a fairly large area so make sure you double-check if the accommodation you’re interested in is not too far away from the centre for you.
The Old Town (Stare Miasto)
The Old Town includes Main Square (Rynek), Planty Park with the adjoining streets and Kazimierz (the Jewish Quarter) which is often considered a separate district by travel guides. This is the place to stay if you don’t mind crowds making noise at night and if you want to be within walking distance of the main tourist attractions. Obviously this is also the most expensive area of Krakow to stay but stepping out of your apartment and having the best of Krakow at your door feels just great.
