Bank (national) holidays in Poland

Obviously schools, banks and institutions are closed on official holidays in Poland. Museums and tourist spots have their own schedules (e.g. Auschwitz Museum is closed Jan. 1st but open Jan. 6th) so it’s always a good idea to double check before you go. Lots of people in Poland take trips over long weekends so traffic is heavier, Krakow is even more crowded and prices including accommodation rates tend to be higher too.
