A charming hiking resort in the Sadecki Beskids
Krynica-Zdroj in the Polish mountains (not to be mistaken for Krynica Morska which is a seaside resort in Northern Poland) is a beautiful mountain town enclosed by Poprad Landscape Park (Popradzki Park Krajobrazowy). This region of Poland is famous for its natural landscape and old Orthodox churches. Krynica’s town centre has well-kept streets with lovely living sculptures, old wooden villas and attractive 19th-century buildings. The immediate surroundings of the resort offer a variety of attractions, including skiing, walking and biking trails as well as museums, adventure parks, slides and sports facilities.

White water rafting
Winding its way through the green valleys, Poprad offers wonderful mountain vistas. The best way to explore this river and see it in all its glory is to swim with the tide. White water rafting and canoeing are both available in the close vicinity of Krynica-Zdroj so don’t miss out on the adventure. A real close-to-nature experience guaranteed!
Krynica-Zdroj is a great place to spend time outdoors. Whether you prefer traditional activities like walking or some more exciting pastimes such as paintball, you’ll definitely enjoy your stay here. To have fun, choose Sankostrada (the summer sledge run) and body zorbing. To get some thrills, try the big swing jumping available in Krynicki Park Linowy (a tree top adventure park).
You can take a funicular to get to the top of this mountain but if you decide on a walk you’ll be rewarded with even more attractions. The slopes of Gora Parkowa boast beautiful landscape architecture with romantic alleys, swan ponds and gracious statues. The hilltop offers open-air entertainment for kids, including slides and horse riding.
Take a scenic gondola ride to the top of Jaworzyna Krynicka. It offers spectacular mountain views and is very popular with hikers and skiers in winter.
Bacowka nad Wierchomlą
This chalet is in a lovely location overlooking the Wierchomla Valley. It enjoys panoramic views of the mountains and in good weather you can see the Tatras from here. A number of hiking and biking trails lead here so choose the one that suits your ability and time available.
Being a famous spa, Krynica-Zdroj is renowned for its mineral water. If you feel like a refreshing, super-healthy drink, visit one of the pump rooms located in the town centre: Pijalnia Glowna, Pijalnia Jana or Pijalnia Mieczyslaw.
